tech week

'tis tech week.

no, I am not in a play.

nor am I a legit dancer.

but I am in 4 vocal groups.

2 of which have a concert next Monday.

1 of which I am directing/coordinating/stuff.

sooooo 6 practices/week and a 2:30-7pm dress rehearsal?

sign me up.

and don't expect posts this week. it may not happen.

it. is. SO. hot. I can't breathe. there is no air circulation in my house. AAHHH.

Today in school was good. I almost won in Chemistry jeopardy. It came down to the final jeopardy, in which we had to write out the electron configuration for Sulfur. I got it all right, except that I had 1p and 2p instead of 2p and 3p (it skips). Dan had nothing. It counted that we both had it wrong, and he wagered less than I did. He beat me by 5 points. SIGH! but it was still fun.

Life is wonderful.

I do love my life. I have bad days, occasionally, but... well, I'm just happy. I don't really know why. I still have to do math homework. but, I am happy nonetheless.

Rundown of happy things today~

Homeroom: first thing Rachel said to me was, "are you having a bad hair day today?" (lol. yes. humidity.)

Literature: Mrs B really liked my essay on The Iliad. That was happy.

Chemistry: played "Chemistry Taboo." And we're watching The Hunt for Red October instead of lab tomorrow! YAY!!!

Chapel: ummm... the extra verses that the Reverend adds on to classic hymns are really funny. They don't sync. Or rhyme. and then I just bite my lip and make funny faces at Aaron :P

Lunch: I had CANTALOUPE! that stuff is good.

Bible: got 50 minutes in class to work on homework for this week.

Art: since my project is on my home computer, did creative writing exercises with Megan & Rachel.

First, pick a word (we opened a book to a random page and pointed). Then, think of what word that makes you think of. Then repeat until your set time is up. This is most fun when you have a group of people. See what you all come up with. Here is my paper:

I woke up at 5:45. ew. But then I went to shadow Brody all day, which was cool.
And one guy I'm to be working with this summer is from Russia! (ish... Kyrgyzstan, actually.)

Okay so.... I arrived at Christine's Coffee House at.... 6-ish.

And, we ate. things. (Like the mozzarella sticks, that kinda exploded in the oven, so they were more like inside out mozzarella sticks.)

Then we went to Rita's, and got gelatis. (My computer doesn't like that word.) We started walking home... and it rained. So, we hitch-hiked. Sort of.

We admired the awesome thunderstorm. 'Twas really cool. :P

Then we watched The Hunt for Red October... ate cookies... and popcorn.

And guess what else we did?? It's four letters, rhymes with walk... I bet you'll never guess... :P

As of now the four ... er ... TWO of us are having lots of fun. More of that secret business that you will never guess.

And fun chats... and quad-souled goddesses.

Effervescent!

Actually, it's more like...  

effervescent young people: 

vivacious, lively, animated, high-spirited, bubbly, ebullient, buoyant, sparkling, scintillating, lighthearted, jaunty, happy, jolly, cheery, cheerful, perky, sunny, enthusiastic, irrepressible, vital, zestful, energetic, dynamic; 

informal bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, peppy, bouncy, upbeat, chirpy, full of beans.

ANTONYMS depressed.

And last night I was feeling incredibly effervescent after Isaiah 61 (even though they forgot about my solo). We went to swing, I retrieved Oscar from Dan-the-hamster-napper, and Blake spelled effervescent correctly, first try! Didn't dance much, but then again not many people did... And I skipped around, quite a bit. And I did a backbend (with help, lots of it)!

Then. Something quite tragic occurred.

I... went to Christine's house.

*gaspish!*

We ate like two dozen biscotti(s?). We watched Phantom of the Opera. Again. We fed puppies (!!!!!!!). Then we "went to bed." (read: talked for two hours --and before you ask why I'm talking about yesterday, I'm not, this was this morning). Then we did get 6 hours of sleep. Then my mom & sister came and we played with the puppies =)

PPS- I don't generally use these words; I just woke up in the early AM yesterday and that word was in my head. It's happened before, most notably with supercilious and vicissitude.

Scrabble

So, I was playing Scrabble today with my mom. Look at that *lovely* hand I have there. Mom & I were both cracking up. The next turn's hand was not much better. (in between the two, I spelled "tea" off of my mom's t)

(and, Sandy, sadly that's not Fanta. Just Sunkist. still good though. Hey, did you know that Sunkist is underlined in red, but not Fanta? =P)

There were other things that made me laugh... pretty hysterically, actually... oh, don't you just LOVE the internet (and email, of course... HAHAHA, Christine!)
