Today David, Daniel, Blake, Mark, Kristen, and I went to go caroling at Walgreens! ...if you could call it that. We all went and sang sort-of-in-the-same-key for Drew, who had to work 9am-6pm. poor guy.

My family looked through about 5 reels of my grandparents' old slides. My grandpa was in the Navy and has some really cool pictures, like ones he got when his ship went through the eye of a hurricane and the wind was down enough that he could get the camera out but the waves were still giant.

One of my new favorite pieces of the mimes. It was really cool.

I've been working on Christmas presents all day... and eating chocolate... and listening to Regina Spektor, because I haven't in a while. Found some new songs, actually.

I Learned...
Chinese students know 3 languages fluently by the time they graduate high school... the local dialect, Mandarin Chinese, and English. Some also take other languages like Arabic, Russian, etc. Crazy.

Katie: Yep. They play half bad stuff and half Josh Groban. And then maybe 3 or 4 other songs.

ANDDDD I started working on Coventry Carol and Adoramus Te during Math today... got parts all assigned and ranges figured out and I have to go to a G; that could be interesting.

And, of course, Youth Worship Team practice. Actually, first time I have ever played piano in front of anybody from church. This could be interesting.

The Good: AAHHH! I get to arrange a medley for choir!! I have never done that before, but I am super excited, because it's a CHRISTMAS medley. The girls are picking between these three (with really stupid names)...

1. Angels (Hark, the Herald Angels Sing; Angels We Have Heard on High; O Come All Ye Faithful... based on BarlowGirl's Angelic Proclamation Medley)
2. Night/Lullaby (Silent Night; O Holy Night; It Came Upon a Midnight Clear; Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence, etc)
3. The Child (What Child is This; One Small Child; Gentle Mary Laid Her Child; Away in a Manger, etc)

The Bad: Busy bee >.<

(have to finish this skirt, find time to go to JoAnne's to get a zipper for the thing, do Bible study prep, keep up with homework, and prepare for all my different choirs... and this weekend I will not be home. Legitly. All of these things are wonderful, but they add up to mean DISASTER aka less sleep. I need to learn to say no.)

Today, I loaded my Christmas music onto my iPod.

Now, don't look at me like that... yes, I know it's not Thanksgiving yet... but it IS Thanksgiving break and that is GOOD ENOUGH.

You're probably wondering why I don't talk about how I went on an all-day field trip to see a Shakespeare play with my Brit Lit class. Well, that made me smile, but it was more like a grimace. Christmas music is MORE smile-worthy.

In honor of the season, from today on I am going to have a "Christmas-song-of-the-day" that I shall post and promote and make you want to buy.
