I finished my math homework. SUCCESS! (not really. I finally surrendered on #43 after the THIRD ATTEMPT. yes, I did it three times from scratch and got a seriously messed up answer every time. stupid fractional exponents.)

I also worked on product descriptions.

and I found out that SARA GROVES is going to be in concert TOMORROW MORNING for FREE but then I can't go because I have Bible Force and church :(

but super excited to go to another concert at the Meyerhoff tomorrow :) it ought to be fun. I think I will wear my sparkly tights.

Today I bought my 25th article of purple clothing.

It was also the last day of the first full week of school we've had since Christmas break. Stupid snow.

traipsing through a winter wonderland

My fairy place takes on a whole new nature (NOT A PUN, I just can't think of another word) under the snow. I love it. I almost fell into the water a few times. It was just warm enough that it kept flowing, even under the 10-18 inches of snow covering it.

Note the bamboo. Still green. And not a dusty blue-green like most evergreens... a really intense green. You can't see it very well in this picture.

The Good:

The creek was beautiful today. There was more color there than shows in these pictures, I promise.

And... I cannot say how many times I have been walking down the middle of the (one-way) road, been distracted by some pretty tree, walked to the side of the road, then realizing that a car just came whizzing down the wrong way and almost ran me over.

The Bad: My hair takes so stupidly long to wash >.<

The Random: Listening to Christmas music... classical music... serious Celtic music...

Oh, and my sister is such a girl after my own heart :) she started Christmas music this weekend!

Although, you can always tell the difference between us by the size of our pony tail holders.

PS- I LOVE the end of Daylight Savings! And this is not merely because of that famous "extra hour of sleep"... nah. It's the freedom! The choices! It doesn't have to be an extra hour of sleep... it could also be an extra hour of awake! It's like tax-exempt time!

(you can tell I really mean all of this by my 13-year-old-girl-level use of exclamation points. I can say that with authority because I have a 13-year-old sister.)

Quiet day :)

The Good: skipped school and got a bunch of college work (and the work I would have missed in today's half day!) done. AND now I am sitting in Barnes & Noble with a yummy Gingerbread latte and funny music playing over the speakers.

The Bad: I hate when you run into someone in a public place... someone who, say, you knew in elementary/middle school and are friends with/regularly stalk on Facebook... but you haven't seen them in person for so long that
a) you aren't sure it's really them,
b) it would be awkward to talk to them, and/or
c) you have no idea what you would say were you to talk to them.
So you say nothing and stand there and try not to look at them or let them see you. This has happened to me several times recently, and it's just weird.
The Random: created my first ever instructional video for the harmony to Be Unto Your Name! awesome fun. Feel no need to watch it, seriously, unless you happen to be in a choir doing the same arrangement.

Also, it makes me laugh when stores advertise not only their store hours but also their website hours :P

The Good: AAHHH! I get to arrange a medley for choir!! I have never done that before, but I am super excited, because it's a CHRISTMAS medley. The girls are picking between these three (with really stupid names)...

The Good: SUCH nice weather today! Walked to Bynum Run again, and played in the creek like a little kid :P

I rediscovered my fairy place (upstream a bit of the wall) and had lots of fun just looking. I think Christine & Erin & Kristen and I are going to have a photoshoot sometime soon, when the leaves change.

Christine & Erin came over today to hang with me & Kristen. Went to Joanne's and did fabulous, secretive things. And played with Photobooth. And stuff.

Then we went to THE MOST AWESOME WORSHIP/CONCERT EVER. Robin Mark, btw. I'd had the thing on my calendar since January, and it CAME!!!

So, I met the guy afterwards. He is less intimidating in person than on stage. But he is also very kind. I forgot my CD at home and had nothing signable in my purse. At a stroke of genius, I asked Colin if he still had the Motivational Red Wall Paint.

Can you guess what I did?

I'll take that as a "maybe."

I asked Robin to sign it. He wrote a message on the rim of the lid, and signed his name on the top, side, and bottom. Oh, he's so very cool. Kristina asked him, "have you ever been asked to sign wall paint before?" He said, "no, this is a first." LOL

Denny went to Smoothie King for lunch today, and he brought me back an amazing strawberry-kiwi-mango FORTY OUNCE MONSTROSITY for which I am greatly thankful.
