last night, around 11:30pm... we got home.

and I was not exactly smiling.

but I was happy.

see, about 30 seconds away from my house, there is a left turn. It's a T intersection, with the street we were turning onto as the base of the T. and as we turned onto that base, another car (sans headlights) comes barreling up towards us. and my dad didn't see it. and I didn't see it. but my mom did, and my dad stopped, and we didn't die 30 seconds away from my house.

how awesome.
